The Clinch Knot is an excellent fly-fishing knot that allows you to quickly re-rig a rod into a two-fly rig. Tie the top fly on with the Clinch, then tie on a dropper line by using the knot to make a loop at the end of a length of tippet and anchoring it to the top hook. Then you can attach the bottom fly using another Clinch. These knots are quick and easy to make, especially if you use the rotating finger method. Step 1: Pass the tag end of the leader line through the eye of the hook and double back around the standing line.

Step 2: Wrap the tag end around the standing line five to seven times.

Step 3: Feed the tag end back up through the opening near the eye of the hook.

Step 4: Lubricate the lines and pull to tighten the knot.
